Walk-In Technology Help

MSBTC Support

MSBTC provides daily "Walk-In Hours" for any MSB user needing ad-hoc computer assistance. MSBTC provides this assistance in both the New South Main Lab and the MBA Lab, Room 207 of the Carbarn. However, for more complicated issues, inquiries may be directed to the main lab for further assistance. The service is first come - first serve. During the Office Hours, we will have both student and full time staff available to assist you with problems relating to your MSB Network account and your personal computer.

Walk-In Hours in the Main Computer Lab:

  • Monday - Friday: 10:00AM - 4:30PM

If the problem is not resolved by the end of walk-in hours, the customer will have to return the following scheduled walk-in period, when he/she will receive priority in technician assignment.

The MSBTC will not keep computers overnight without specific approval of the CTO, John Carpenter, or the senior MSBTC full time staff member if the CTO is absent.

Computerware Service Representative

MSBTC provides services free whenever possible, however, some services are beyond the capabilities of MSBTC and, with the concurrence of the customer, may have to be referred to Computerware, a local vendor, for resolution. If you did not purchase your computer with Computerware (which includes a comprehensive warranty), there will always a charge associated with work done by Computerware. (Call ahead during holidays)
