 Club Description

CalTrek is an organization of Georgetown graduate business students interested in internships and post-graduation employment in California. The club organizes an annual visit to pre-eminent companies in the San Francisco Bay Area, typically in January with three goals: Recruiting, Networking, and Education.

  • Recruiting: CalTrek’s primary goal is to expand the recruiting relationships between Georgetown and California employers. CalTrek works to create more career opportunities for Georgetown graduates by encouraging employers to recruit on-campus or by creating a new recruiting relationship by visiting leading employers in California.
  • Networking: CalTrek’s second goal is to facilitate networking between Georgetown students and current business leaders. We strive to improve the career opportunities available to Georgetown’s students by helping them create new contacts and perform targeted career searches.
  • Education: CalTrek also endeavors to educate students on California’s prevalent industries, career opportunities, corporate cultures and lifestyle. Equally important, CalTrek works to increase the recognition of Georgetown’s graduate programs and highlight the quality of Georgetown graduates to local businesses.
