INDIVIDUALLY TAILORED But to say there are no majors does not mean there are no opportunities to focus. The Georgetown curriculum, which has undergone a recent major transformation, is designed to help you find your own path. If you want to pursue a career in finance, you can design a program that will give you concepts and skills for banking, investment management, corporate finance – whichever path you choose. Those with marketing interests can tailor their coursework for disciplines from brand management and advertising to marketing research. By the end of your time at Georgetown you will be well prepared to perform at a high level in your chosen career.
SOLID FOUNDATION Students begin the program by taking classes in a core group of subjects ranging from Accounting and Finance to Marketing and Organizational Behavior. Each course is designed to work in tandem with other core classes to give you a solid education in general management concepts and a specific skill set that you can build on.
FOCUS AND SCOPE Beginning in the second year, students take advanced classes to hone their expertise and develop skills geared to their particular career goals. Electives are taken alongside additional core courses and residencies and may be chosen from a variety of courses in Accounting, Decision Sciences & Operations, Entrepreneurship & Technology, Finance, International Business, Management, Marketing, and Strategy. |
